One of our Key areas of activity is the production of precision Turned parts, aimed at the most demanding customers from various industrial sectors. Thanks to the many years of experience of our engineers, Turning stainless steel, brass and other metals is not a challenge for us.
Our production processes are carried out on modern automatic lathes with a moving spindle, which allows us to achieve the highest dimensional accuracy. In addition, Automation of the process significantly increases its efficiencyThis translates into economic production.
Automatic lathes are primarily used for manufacturing precision parts, small components, usually cylindrical with a diameter of less than 32 mm, mass-produced in large quantities. Common examples of parts are shafts, pins, bushings, screws, inserts, pins, nipples, fittings, and more.
Automatic lathes offer a wide range of processing possibilities for a variety of materials, including hard to cut metals and plastics. In practice, however, the dominant materials are metals and their alloys. The most commonly machined parts are stainless steel, alloy steel, automatic steel and brass.
Efficient production Large Series Lathe Parts is now possible thanks to advanced machine tools, known as automatic lathes. These machines are designed for continuous operation, which Eliminates the need for frequent operator intervention in the production process.
To ensure continuous machining process, automatic lathes are equipped with peripherals called bar feeders. Their task is to supply the material for processing continuously, without the need to stop the machine.
In addition, automatic lathes can automatically pick up finished parts from the machining area. The manufactured components are independently unloaded into suitable containers or onto belt conveyors. After that, these parts undergo quality inspection, are washed and packaged for further distribution.
The most commonly used type of machine tools in the CNC turning segment of precision technical components are longitudinal automata, Also known as Swiss type cnc. They are characterized by a movable spindle design, where the material moves through the guide sleeve and is held and driven by a spindle located behind the bushing.
In such machine tools, the movement in the Z-axis is realized by the material, and not by the tool, which allows the entire tool station to be located close to the support point in the guide sleeve. This solution ensures maximum rigidity of the system and allows for very efficient machining, especially for parts with elongated shapes that can cause vibration during machining.
When turning precision metal parts on machine tools with a moving spindle, it is important to follow a few key rules. The process should begin with drilling and internal turning, performed using the main spindle. This approach provides greater stability, as the material is fully supported in the guide sleeve.
Then, you should proceed to external turning using the main spindle. If possible, it is recommended to perform cutting to full depth in one pass, which increases the stability of the process and shortens the processing time.
The next step is milling, with face milling being preferred, which generates less cutting forces. The stability and power of the spindles in automatic machines are limited, therefore, in the final stage of machining the outer diameter, effective reverse turning is used, preferably in one pass.
The final operation at the main spindle is cutting off, which is carried out after catching the part in the counterspindle. The closer the two spindles are located to each other, the smaller the overhang of the workpiece and the better the surface finish. After cutting off, the further finishing of the part goes in a counterbore, usually involving internal processing and finishing of the second face.
